Dear Blogger,

So many issues to write about and I haven't written any. Sigh. Blogger should make it easier for busy mommies like me to blog. Or, I could just be more disciplined like before.

First up, so... Chelsea stole oops won the English Premiership this season. I wanted to say big deal but let's not be a sore loser. Some of its wins were questionable but there was no doubt that Chelsea had been on consistent form.

Man U on the hand had been engaged in too many campaigns. The ultimate goal, despite what Sir Alex had said in the press, was winning the Champions League. Why? Because that will bring in a lot of much-needed revenue for the debt-ridden club.

How in the world did the multiple champion and once world's richest club be saddled with a 300 million pound debt is beyond rational explanation. That despite selling Ronaldo at a world-record price! Most Man U fans know that Sir Alex never wanted to sell Ronaldo. We suspect it's the administrators who forced him to do so to relieve some of the club's debt.

So did Chelsea deserve to Premiership title? Let's see. Liverpool failed big time. They're where? Number 6? Number 7? Arsenal lost steam mid way. So yeah, that leaves Chelsea to bring the trophy home to Stamford Bridge.

Now that the EPL is over, we're cutting the sports channel from our cable line-up. We've decided not to sign up to Singtel's MIO because it's ridiculous to have 2 set-top boxes just for the EPL. We like to watch the EPL but we're not that crazy about it.

We're still thinking whether to subscribe to the World Cup. At first, I wanted to. Then after thinking about it again and again, I asked myself, is paying $71 for this "exclusive" event worth it? Then I thought, why should we, the consumers, be penalised for the telcos' incompetence???

It's not our problem that they sealed the deal much too late to recoup some losses from the advertisers. If a third-world country like Nigeria and even Australia in which football means the Aussie Rules kind can broadcast the event for free, why must we pay so much to watch it???

This just makes me upset and frustrated. I might just put my name on that Facebook petition to boycott Singtel and Starhub. And you know what's even more of a piss? That Singtel and Starhub think they've done us a favour by getting us the rights to the World Cup. Boy, did they get it so wrong this time.
